Road transport
Road transport covers the use of all vehicles that drive on the country's roads: passenger cars, vans, buses and trucks.
Fuel suppliers in Iceland submit monthly data to the National Energy Autority (NEA) regarding the sale of fuel, and this data will be updated regularly and published only two months later.
The data has a active connection to the NEA's database and can therefore change if corrections are received from vendors. New results are published in the middle of each month.
The graphs show sales in the unit tonnes of oil equivalent (toe), which is a standard unit of energy. 1 toe = 41,868 MJ = 11.63 MWh
