Conference: Energy Security and Citizens

Energy security in the Nordic countries will be discussed at the Energy Security and Municipal Conference, which will be held in Reykjavik next Thursday, October 19th, at Hilton Reykjavik Nordica from 9 am to 12 pm. The meeting is organized in collaboration with the Nordic Energy Research, the Nordic Council of Ministers, the Icelandic government, and the Ministry for the Environment, Energy, and Climate.
Among other topics, the conference will address energy security in the Nordic countries in light of recent events in the Baltic Sea and urgent energy issues in the Nordic countries. Among those scheduled to speak are Guðlaugur Þór Þórðarson, Minister for the Environment, Energy, and Climate in Iceland, Karen Ellemann, Executive Director of the Nordic Council of Ministers, Gillian Martin, Minister for Energy and Environment in the Scottish government, and Kalistat Lund, Minister of Agriculture, Sustainability, Energy, and the Environment in Greenland.
Moderator: Halla Hrund Logadóttir, Director-General, The National Energy Authority, Iceland, & Co-founder of the Arctic Initiative at Harvard Kennedy School.
The conference is an excellent opportunity to gain firsthand insight into challenges and solutions in energy exchange, the development of renewable energy infrastructure, and energy supply security.
