The Electricity Supervisory Authority (ROE) has published the revenue caps for DSO‘s for the year 2023. The revenue of most DSO‘s in 2023 was not sufficient to cover all costs.
The settlement of the revenue caps shows that the income of Veitur was under-collected by 10.9%, whereas the income of HS Veitur was over-collected by 2.5% in 2023. The income of Orkubú Vestfjarða was under-collected by 15.0% for urban areas and 15.0% for rural areas. The income of RARIK was under-collected by 15.0% for urban areas and 15.0% for rural areas. The income of Norðurorka was under-collected by 15.0%.
Under-collected income means that the DSO‘s did not utilise the revenue determined by the ROE to ensure sufficient investments, operational security, and other services.
